Ohlins nb: getting back to baseline
So, the guy that put my parts car together was of questionable quality. Im second guessing everything ive pulled from it.
This includes the set of ohlins dfv coilovers.
I want to disassemble them (not the internals), clean them up, and start over again propwrly before installing them on my grm challenge car. Make sure they are right.
Any suggestions on this process?
I also see that the rears are now sold with extended top hats. Should I make a set?
anything i can do to optimize things while i have them on the bench, again no getting inside them?
rest of the setup: nb1 car thats fully seam welded, frog arms and subframe connectors, added nb2 bracing (all of it) fm2 and 6 speed, hard dog hardcore roll bar
Lastly, one adjuster is broken. I have a workaround made, but if someone has a used and usable adjuster laying around for cheap, id love to buy it from you. New they're 83 bucks!
Thanks in advance y'all. Budget is starting to get tight with the build for the challenge ge, but I think im coming down the home stretch.

Ohlins does have instructions on setting up baseline height / preload / damping, see below.

Regarding the adjuster, I'd suggest getting an extension for the drivers side rear so you can keep your interior panels. Come sin handy and now you only need three normal *****. My experience with a few different coilover brands is you likely don't need the Ohlins specific part. I have Ohlins on my Subaru that I reassembled and can't completely confirm off memory.
Thanks!! Those sheets definitely helped. Was completely unable to find them while googling.
Ill have to poke at the other coilovers i have here and check out *****.
And I have a diy remote adjuster idea using 1/4 drive socket stuff and a 3d printer to make adjustments from inside easy.
