Default AFR Gauge Install

Hi guys

I’m a bit of a mechanical newbee and I’ve purchased an 2002 MX5 1.6 with full T4 BOFI kit installed. I’ve purchased an AFT gauge - the install looks simple and the downpipe should have a hole for the sensor to plug into. My only question is - once install I assume the Air fuel mixture will continue to run the same as it’s currently been tuned to? Assuming the AFR gauge is installed and reading properly. Any other tips? Will I also need to solder the AFR wires to an on switch? And ECU?

Yes, your afr gauge just reads what afr you're running at, doesnt change anything. Unless you enable EGO control or similar in your tune and give it authority to.
you will have to connect a few wires, thats dependent on variables like your ecu, gauge, and wiring.
