Default Custom downpipe with eBay manifold

Hi guys, it’s my first post here.

I want to build myself a custom manifold for my Garett 2560r. It’s paired to a eBay taco taco manifold. The 5 bolts exit has got a 2.5 inch v band fitting.

how does your setups look I need inspiration? Also I wondered if the v-band adaptator would be too long and wouldn’t fit. What do you guys think?

Typically when the V-band adapter is used, the turbo is mounted directly off cylinder 2, rather than centered between 2&3. Check out mkturbo for reference. This allows for room of a properly routed downpipe. I don't consider a million pie cuts to be proper, as the typical DIY'er won't back purge it properly, creating a lot of heat/stress risers and restrictions in the final product. And this is no insult to your fab work cause I've never seen it, but just what I've seen in the past. Alternatively, you could buy a 5-bolt flange that fits the turbo and weld a bend to it, eliminating the V-band. They're nice, but you may need the 2" it takes up.

okay thanks! I might have to switch to a 5bolts with a bend to clear the wall. If I can’t find pictures of people who successfully did it with a v-band I might have to change plans
