Bump stop packers for Koni Sport shocks?
Does anyone know who makes bump stop packers that are small enough to work for the Koni Sport 12mm shock shaft? Smallest I've found is from RE Suspension for a 12.7mm shock shaft, but the "slot" distance is right at 12mm and half of them don't stay due to manufacturing tolerance.
Hey, Koni Sport shocks on Miatas use a 12mm shaft, and finding packers that fit tightly without falling off is a common headache. The RE Suspension ones for 12.7mm are the closest most people find, but tolerances can make them loose. Many NA/NB owners just run the nylon washers that come with the Konis or trim their bump stops instead of adding packers. Good-Win Racing sells bump stop kits specifically for Koni Sport (5/8" shaft) that include the right spacers/washers. If you're trying to limit travel to prevent rubbing, consider shortening the bump stops or adding a thin fender washer stack as a simple workaround.
I already tried reaching out to Good Win Racing since I saw they had the 5/8" packers but they don't have any for the NA/NB 12mm shock shaft. I am planning on making my own out of some delrin in the future but have not gotten around to it yet.
3d printing some out of nylon or something suitably tough with a high infill would work great. And you can vary the thickness. Pennies apiece too.
