I have owned many miatas and have had this 2006 NC1 since 2019. It has many modifications done to it, with a host of Supermiata parts including their XIDAS. Front and rear aero (which needs some improvement) 17x10 RPF1s and more notably the engine is a 2.5L Duratec with some higher compression off-the-shelf 2.4L LE5 Ecotec pistons, FAB9 Stage 2 camshafts 280/272, Long tube headers and E85.
It recently went to the dyno and made 208whp and 190tq.
Yo dude! Welcome to the forum. I remember your MSM from that video back in the day, never knew you were the same guy with the NC (who I've also seen around). Welcome to the group, you should start a build thread for that sick NC you have! We love track cars and that thing looks DIALED!
Nice to see you on here! And I second Fire, you should totally do a build thread. I always love seeing more NC content on here, we gotta spread the love for the boats.
First track day back with the new engine set up went great!. I was bummed at the beginning knowing the day was going to be warm, but realized its gotta be this way to see what the engine can handle with no oil cooler setup at the moment. Temps stayed great, consistently was around 185-195.
I went with no hopes of a track record, as my A052s are pretty well worn from last season from MTTC. But was able to get a 1:26 in the first session at Streets of Willow W/Kink and Short Skid Pad.
Go Pro was messed up and did the linear + horizon stabilizing, so the 1:26 video is a bust,
but here is a lap with the meta glasses that a smashed into my helmet (don't recommend )
I dig the meta footie, gives a cool POV feel. Awesome lap man, the NC really is the pinnacle of track Miata when setup like yours. Actually makes me jealous a bit.
Hilarious apology to the NA driver but he had it comin
