I got my kit used from this guy that could not find his vortech. the used ones on ebay are a bit to expensive as i want to save as much money as possible in order to get my bipes, so the question is. What do you guys think about the cheap obx or nrg afprs?

 

NO NO NO and NO. All junk.

Spend the money and get a decent one, BEGI or if you don't want to spend $180 you can buy a Vortech from most "performance shops". OBX and NRG are pretty dodgy products along with APC and their Pep Boys ilk.

 

Try the classifieds, or put up a WTB. Someone might have one laying around. Check miataturbo.net and miata.net classifieds

 

I have an AEM sitting around somewhere unused.... it's the universal one....

WTF are you talkin about noob my obx fpr worked just fine you better know what you are talkin about before you slam a product next time.

 

you can check out some of the other forums like nicoclub.com, or honda-tech.com they also have turbo forums, and alot of guys upgrade from the fmu. I bought a used vortec fmu from a member of nico for 50 bucks good luck

 

thanks for the replies. I can see th general majority of you think obx is crap so i guess i will listen. I think I just found one(vortech) on ebay for 60 bucks or so
