Default Is anyone using the 27"x5.5" intercooler?

Just wondering if it will fit a 94 with ac and ps. I would like the look of this slightly better than the popular 18" intercooler. Also, i found someone saying that under 6" "should" fit under the drier, can anyone confirm this?

I ordered the same size intercooler, haven't fitted it yet but if I have to I'll move the drier (even though I did see a post saying under 6 inches should fit) because I want the mouth to be filled more than the 18" more square cooler. I'm waiting for my Godspeed radiator to get here before mounting the IC. I depowered my PS, so don't have so much hose running on the hot side either.

That's the one I'm working on installing right now. I'll see if I can get some pics tomorrow.

Jobambo, did you order that one already? If not, PM me and maybe we can get the seller to ship cheaper for 2 of them.

oh, and that is with ps and ac. I have probably 1/2" to 1" clearance under the drier. The bung on that side is right under the drier though. To mount it, i just ran a piece of metal across the mounting points for the tie downs and bolted the IC to that.

Thanks! Looks good. Are you having any overheating issues due to it blocking a large portion of the radiator?

Nope, there is a good ammount of room above the IC for air to pass over it and through the radiator.

Just finished test fitting last week... I have a 1.8 with AC and PS and managed to fit my 28 x 5.5 x 2.5 ebay intercooler inside of the plastic shroud (the mouth piece).

It's a very tight fit and a pain if you keep the plastic shroud but is doable. You have to bend the drier up and to the left and pull the power steering lines to the right just a tad. It should be much easier to install if you decide to toss the shroud as the intercooler can sit lower and away from the drier and PS lines.

I have more photos here

looks like if you had cut the diverter and mounted it slightly lower it would fit without having to bend the dryer.

Yep, if I mounted it 1" lower it would clear everything above the intercooler.
