Default Will this EX WG placement work?

Got my hands on a Tial 38mm WG and am going to mount it some where on the ETG greddy replacement manifold. The picture below shows where I want it to go for space resins. Will it work there or will it not being centered in the manifold be a major problem?

Ideas?

You will have less backpressure on that cylinder than all the others. This will probably **** **** up. Not sure how, something makes me think it would run lean.

Try it. If it doesn't work, use one of those block off plates and try another spot.

It will work. Most low end manifolds don't have ideal WG placement. If it is REALLY bad or you are generating extremely high exhaust energy you may have funky boost curves.

You'll probably see boost creep.

I'd personally run it under the manifold directly below the turbo flange.

If you are curious as to why I mention creep and placement there, look into peoples views on the Drag manifold for Hondas and their creep issues.

Of note... some people don't have this issue... the highest percentage withOUT issues are using Tial WGs... alot of people were using deltacreeps (deltagates). I know loaning a tial to a buddy helped with his issues some... and he had already joined that WG location with runner 2, just to try and help.

If you tried, it would be difficult to have more of a shitty WG placement....that was horrible english but you know what im getting at.

I agree, its just tight there. Guess I'll have to look again. How about a remote WG say tap it under turbo and use 6"-8" of pipe than mount WG?

is it really that tight? It would seem you'd only need about 3" - but that's way better than sticking it on any of those runners IMO... especially with that design.

I was just going to mention the same about the rev hard off centered WG manifold.

Should work fine, although more centered would be optimum.

Someone with turbo knowledge from the honda community. yay! Wastegates on runners should be banished along with FMUs and AFC piggy-backs
