they are 5x114, completely different hubs and wont fit unless you run 17's....where the hell did you even get this idea?

You may be able to fit the calipers by fabricating a mounting bracket but there is no guarantee it will work, you'll also have to find rotors you can use on the car with the calipers. Too much work imo

You will have to find rotors big enough, and with the Subaru mounting point, nothing smaller than a 17" wheel will fit....

It just sounds stupid. The amount of work and fabrication required to do something like that, you could just buy a bbk made for a miata. It will end up costing less anyway.

 

You'd "only" need a rotor with the same diameter and thickness. Since many aftermarket rotors are two-piece, and even in a one-piece rotor, the "hat" can be whatever size/shape desired, and the caliper really only cares about the outer area with which it will interact, in theory the swap isn't that hard- just a matter of finding a rotor of the right specs- correct outer specs and 4x100 holes, etc.- with two-piece rotors it may* be a simple matter of mix and match. To mount the calipers you'd just need custom brackets.

Seems pretty silly to me, with plenty of braking options out there. I'd rather see somebody make some brackets to mount a fixed Wilwood, Baer, etc. caliper over the NB "sport" rotors, so you get fixed calipers and cheap rotors.

Yes, if somebody were to do this, they'd need big wheels, and the brackets would likely be expensive if you had to pay somebody to machine them. Cheap to reproduce once you have a CNC program, but the initial one-off would be pricey.

yes, everything bolts up just fine behind 15"wheels and they look great! I have this mod on my daily miata and highly recommend it. It shortens stopping distance when cold too, pads and rotors are cheaper, and you can still use the stock bias valve! Just buy them and go go go!!!

There would probably be way too much fab work. The 240sx guys run evo rotors and sti calipers (or vis versa, i cant remember) and it bolts up fairly easily... but most 240 guys already have 17's and 5 lug.

Like everyone else said...unless you are getting these parts for free and have a machine shop to do all the fab, just buy the one of the kits out there.

 

Or don't buy one of the kits because it's completely unnecessary.

Get the right brake pad and be done. Don't waste your money on useless BS like a BBK (on a miata atleast).

 

Yes, they will fit. But only with a lot of intimate time at a fabrication shop and with a welder... Good luck!

 

I run them on my 99' they bolt right up.

 

They fit, I use mine to clamp the roaches from my doobies. I roll big.
