Default Are these really 7.5" wheels?

I can get these for cheap locally, want to fit 225/45 slicks for racing.

My question is, are they really 7.5" or 7"? I dont know how wheels are measured:

Here's another pic, can anyone identify them?? Seller claims they're Enkei 15x7.5, 40 offset:

Looks an awful lot like a Saab wheel, like the one in the upper right corner here:

But obviously with the multiple 4 bolt patterns, they're not.

So essentially I'm absolutely no help

Those look like 6.5" wheels.

You measure width between the INSIDE of the lips. Not the outside like your photo.

Why not just look for some cheap 7" wheels? My 225 RS2s don't look squished onto my Koseis at all, and the car feels great. Yes I know an 8" wheel will use more of the tire and blah blah, but if price is a big issue, you may want to consider a 7" wheel instead.

I think I'll do just that. Dammit 15x8 has to be the rarest wheel made on planet earth.

Just rice out and join the darkside. I'll be rocking 2 sets of sportmaxs this year :P

The black/silver 002 without rivets to get me around town and a set of the 513s (panasport copys) in the lol HOT :P flat black with red pinstripe for my NT01s/track use.

You definately don't need 8" wheels for a 225..

Now if you were thinking 245's on a 7" you might get some questions on your intelligence.

Honestly the only 15x8 I found there was the Slipstream, which is ideal if only it were a little cheaper.

I thought about the sportmaxx but the only one available in a non-zero offset is the 501. That offset kinda bothers me because spec miata people have been seeing some hub failures, and that offset is only going to increase the chances of that happening.

That wont apply to you drag racing or regular track events. You're not racing wheel to wheel and hitting each other and tire dropping off track(like SPEC).

You will be fine. I have rocked 0 offset for 2 years and beat the **** out of them more than I can imagine you will unless you are spec racing or rally action. So you will be fine.. thats my 002
