Hello from another noob
Hello my name is Eric and I'm a car addict. Picking my first Miata up on Tuesday and figured I should start reading up on them first.
Do I want to build the ultimate Miata that is comfy on the street, pulls 30sec lap times at willow springs, runs an 8sec 1/4 mile, and never breaks?
Yes.
Is it ever going to really get there?
No.
My previous car was a fox body mustang that had a little supercharger on it and made nearly 300whp on a dynojet. It was fun, and I loved the car, but it was time to let it go since it needed too much work to complete in one weekend at a buddy's house. (ah the joys of renting) I want to get back into a mustang but the wife doesn't want us to have 2 car payments and I agree completely, so I get to take some money and invest in a little gas miser that happens to be a car I've always had a soft spot for.
Took my first test drive in one last week and comfort and handling were way beyond the mustang I had, but I was underwhelmed with the power. That is why I decided to join here. Hoping to get about 200whp by the middle of summer using a Fidanza flywheel clutch combo and a TSI turbo kit. I'll post more up about the plans in some of the other forums.
There, I think I covered everything, and having read the other intros
Flame suit on.
