I'm confused as ****. So I pulled my coil pack off so I could get a good look.

People cut the coil packs up to get the pins. I have some connectors left over and they fit. Wouldn't it just be easier to do solder connectors to the COP harness and plug them in like I did in the fourth picture?

It probably wont work because the focus on your connector is worn out. Makes it a PITA to get it all connected right.

Maybe you can get some in-focus connectors from mazda? They should last at least another 100k miles before they go blurry again!

I spent $20ish at DIY and used the GM weatherpack stuff, work/seal/look great.

Edit: WHAT ARE YOU ON?!

Only problem is crimping the connectors. If you don't have that $80 tool they sell, its tough to get them small enough to fit in the connector, as it's all fairly snug in order to keep it water tight. I borrowed a crimping tool from my dad's work, which ended up being a bit small, I had to be careful not to cut the connectors in half when crimping.

If you're going for a permanent install, maybe find a matched connector set, cut out the old connectors, and install a new single connector to the harness, then it would be a simple wire in to the COPs at the matched connector.

 

I got it finished before I left for class. Went to the mother ****** film class. Come home and the car started right up. Not really happy with the harness though, so I'll probably redo it over the summer. Bling-Bling.
