Default What overbore is available for 1.6?

What options are there for overboring a 1.6L? I can't go with a stock 1.8L as it would bump me out of my class but I can overbore my engine as much as I want provided the engine can take it.

Can't find much on google or searching here. Only stroking. Which I am not allowed to do.

From what I recall there isn't much room in an FI application to overbore the 1.6.

In my opinion (and it is strictly an opinion) Overboring a 1.6 is somewhat of a waste of time. If you can't go to a 1.8, get yourself set up with a better turbo setup and go from there. You can make enough power on a stock bore/stock head 1.6 to destroy your drivetrain.

i would stick some cams in it and pistons rods and you could make far more power then anything else in your drive train could handle. i just swapped from a stock 1.6 which had a set of hks 256s in it to a stock 1.8 and im fairly certain that the car was faster with the 1.6 in it. no turbo though or the story would be different i think.

No cams allowed in my class. I have a nice head with port work that I want to put on. I may put it on my current bottom end, however I want to figure out why my engine is consuming oil. Will a leak down tell me if it's my rings or valve seals?

Rockauto has 1 set of .020 overbore 9:1 automatic pistons left.

That's uber cheap. I assume it's per piston?

How are Beck parts? Should they be as good as OEM? OEM pistons should be good for a fair amount of power anyhow, correct?

That's ******* weak. It clearly says "Set" in the item description.

the "set" might mean for the piston rings that come with it.

It clearly says it's a set, first word in the description. I know, seems stupid cheap, but these are easy to make.

EDIT: NM, may be wrong. I would have ordered assuming the box came with 4 of them though. Lame.

That's what I thought of after the fact. Good luck trying to find auto pistons, hopefully they're still available.

I was taking a look at the wiesco 8.5-1 .060 pistons. How much of a difference will that 1mm oversize really make? Or should I just get the .020 oversize for cheaper machining cost?
