Default Car is running ultra rich it seems, bad gas milegae, help?

Just go tmy car a few weeks ago. Has Greddy turbo/manifold,RX-7 injectors, megasquirt, 3" exhaust/no cat, LC-1 WB..

It was tuned in Feb at UMS tuning in Phx (good shop)

Last owner said it is a very conservative tune since it gets so hot here. I backfire almost every time I get on it, and my HIGHWAY gas mileage is about 23-24 mpg

If I can get a working laptop, what should I check, or what software should I run a log with? My LC-1 O2 sensor got shorted out, so that isn't working. Too log AFR do you have to hook it directly to the LC-1, or does it all go through the MS?

Sorry for such noob questions...

Thanks

JB

Download Megatune. Set it up. Make sure your LC-1 is hooked up to the MS. Go to the highway, or any long strech of road. By usign the "datalog" option in Megatune, do a 4th gear pull. Then post, anlyze, and profit.

I think that'll do.

Edit: Turnerstudios is $40, with a better VE analyzer; Megatune is free. Just in case someone bring up "why megatune?"

My LC-1 is broke, the wire going to the sensor is either broke or shorted.

Well basically where the sensor goes into the downpipe the back of the sensor is mashed against something. I'm not sure where the short is.

Maybe you should think about getting that fixed first? Also get megatune like said above and post your msq.
