Default Should I be worried? Oil Pressure Question

I've been watching my OPG a lot recently - I have fitted an early 'real' OPG to my car - and just wondered if what I'm seeing is indicative of an imminent failure, is the OPG picking up knock, or is completely normal.

The OPG rises as RPM's rise, but above 6k it starts to drop off again, is this the Oil pump passing it's 'sweet' spot and isn't being as efficient in revs? or do I have an issue I need to resolve promptly?

Oil has been changed every 3 months with Mobil1 and is stays golden, I can't hear any knock through detcans, but that still doesn't stop me worrying - (does it knock when it know's i'm not listening )

Reasurring advice greatly sought

Video of it here, put it on mute if you don't like superchargers

In short, I wouldn't worry.

Looks fine to me. Usually with knock you will see the OPG "Bobble" back and forth quickly.

Looks rock steady. When you get knock, you'll see it fluctuate a little. It's called needle flutter.

I think the OP was more worried about his oil pressure than whether it's knock.

I see that you swapped in that '01 motor. What sump did you use? What dipstick did you use to check the level? Is it possible the oil is too low exposing the pick up at high rpm?

Why does it flutter with knock? Does the knock give the block a temporary power surge? Learn something new everyday!

Something is whacked with that gauge- at the end of the video your rpm falls to zero and the opg rises...? I think your problem is with gauge/sender. You should see a direct relationship between the rpm and op.

Who the hell said anything about a power surge? It's vibration, you nong.

It was a question. Notice the question mark? It is something I've never heard of, but knowing how the sender works (variable ground resistor), was trying to put two and two together.

Ha ha ha look harder at the gauge, never gets near to zero rpm

I'll give you a hint zero rpm is at 4 o'clock
