which line do i use? on my nb i dont see the typical vac line i see people using thats on the im. my just has a cap on that fitting.

Brake Booster line has good suction.

 

BB line is large and can suck in too much, just use the vacuum line for the purge solenoid.

 

Just pinch off the end as you pour. As the engine tries to stall just pinch some more.

 

i never had good results with seafoam... how often do you guys use it?

 

Results vary. People that notice improvement needed it. Those that don't, didn't. Some cars are maintained better than others and thus show little improvement. It does its job for cleaning out carbon and tarnish.
I usually use it once a year, after the winter before the season really gets going.

 

I use this on just about any car I service for people, and they seem to notice. I used it on my dads truck once just because I was doing and oil change and it fixed a mis he had going on for awhile, that was not my intention but it fixed it and its still running good and that was 2 years ago.

 

BG44K all day. Expensive but worth it.

 

I love this stuff. It used to make my 200k mile 1.6 feel like it gained 20hp! LOL.
On my dads 99 we used the vac line coming off the purge solenoid. The only thing I have had issues with on newer OBDII cars is that you might get a check engine light from the induced vacume leak. I have my own code reader so I can easily check and clear the codes. If the light comes on right when you do it you can clear it by leaving the battery disconnected for a few minutes.

i already did this, i used the vac port that is jsut behind the throttle body. i put a hose on there and did it like that. my car felt smoother but didnt affect a minor stumbling issue at idle i had when my ac is on.

 

i have used seafoam as well, results was good on my old rx7 but minimal on my miata. probably because it was maintained pretty well, anywho you get a good smoke show while in the process

 

Yes Seafoam is good stuff it did wonders for my 91 civic with 300k on the clock the smoke that came out of that was just crazy. Personally if you know someone at a shop I really like chevrolet top engine cleaner you can pick it up at the dealer for $8 a can it is better than sea foam the next best thing would be if you know someone who has a shop and a BG induction service that is just awesome but if you dont know anyone its around $100 so a little on the expensive side.
