2nd gear went out today going WOT, right after turbo spooled up around 4k. 14psi on GT2871. Old setup was 2560R at around 14 creeping to 16. Less than 5k miles on the setup and not driven crazy hard or anything, no track time yet. Tranny had like 133k miles on it. Just another data point here for guys considering keeping it.

I knew I was on borrowed time, but surprised it came about this early. Oh well. Already got 3.9 rear, so as soon as I find a 6 speed I'm gonna grab it

 

been going back and forth 6 speed or hardtop, these threads tend to make my decision easier. 6 speed is just gonna suck for a DD and autox with the 4.10 rear!

 

We're running out of 5-speeds, cut that out.

 

I'll be joining the club once this new motor is done. Maybe between the two of us we can build one new 5 speed?
