Default noob question: what is the small fuel pressure regulator on the passanger side?

I have what seems to be a small leak, looks like the line has a small kink. this cant be the main fuel supply what is the function of this part. the line looks like a specialized fitting so it might be a pain in the *** to fix. should I patch it or get a used line or can I just delete it? I have stand alone so I doubt it does anything,, unless of course this is the main pressure regulator for fuel, in which case I'm sure glad I found it.

Post a picture. The main fuel pressure regulator is on the fuel rail on 1989~1997 cars. There is an vacuum/air line coming off of it going to the intake manifold. If you have gas coming out of that air line, the FPR is shot.

If there is gas coming out of the larger line that returns to one of the hard fuel lines on the side of the engine bay, you just need to replace the line. If the gas is coming out of the hard line that the hose connects to at the fuel rail, you need to replace.
