So i guess i'm going to pick up arma 2 and get down with some day z even though it's buggy as ----. Who else is playing other then Bryce?

 

I have been resisting for a while now. Our intern plays and keeps trying to get me to buy it, but I have no desire to pay $30+ to buy a game just to play a mod. I went through that buying Crysis and then Crysis Warhead/Wars in order to play Mechwarrior: Living Legends :(

I DID hear a rumor that the Arma II Free + Combined Operations expansion (paid) = functional DayZ mod, but I've been unable to confirm.

 

This does work and is documented on there website. How ever the game looks like ---- when using the free version. There is not a $30 package on steam that gives you both games. It popped up there in the last week as it was not there last Monday/Tuesday.

I was watching some trolololol video and some video of a group of people car jacking then kill the people in the back of a 2.5 ton truck. Made we want to be a dick =D

 

Yeah, there is some SERIOUS trolololololoing potential in that game. There is a Youtube video of some guys that found/hacked a helicopter in the game and just flew around massacring people

My gtx 680 got here today, but I won't be playing tonight. Maybe tamale. Steam chat is useful for voice chat while playing, so friend up.

My Bro is playing with a group of 6 guys. They've fixed up a few vehicles and are rolling around with night vision, killing everything in sight.

 

Spent an hour just trying to make it work. When I finally got in control suck, input lag is hell.

Have to dig into the config and play the real games tutorial.

 

Never mind, I cant even get in to a game after trying for a few days.

Finally sat down and made the game work. Spent all day dieing 10+ times and never finding a weapon.

We are looking for more people to play with. Posting on steam forums now looking for people. I had to restate 2 times yesterday, got fragged logging out night before then was fragged again heading for the tree line to log out after lunch... Both times with a 16 slot bad and AK with red dot.

 

This is why I have fallen in love with this game.
