This game has so much potential. I find myself more excited over this buggy *** mod than the big name releases coming out.

About to try to find that server and join it. Name is Ramblo, currently just south of the airfield about to die trying to find food.

its too fun sitting at the airfield 600m out with the 50 cal getting headshots while bandits search for loot. Just the presence of zombies really gives away your location.

I would be less butthurt about losing all my ---- if it weren't for the fact he soaked up 15 G17 rounds to center mass and didn't die.

Fantastic, screwing around in Stary Sobor finally got an AKM with a couple mags, and I die because I glitch out in the door of a random house.

*sigh*

Also, are you gonna add the side channel to that server? Doesn't seem like there's much of a way to communicate with people.

There was one, they removed it because you wouldn't have global chat irl. there is direct chat that if the type people 40m from you will see or you can us direct voice and people around you will hear it depending on how close they are.

As for the doors, never crawl through a door way or sprint. Also sprinting at a person will hurt, brake legs, knock out, and/or kill them.

It has gotten less buggy but the arma 2 system is very flowed and will never be perfect. It's doing a lot of things it was no programmed for and they are putting out weekly fixes based on the needs of dayz.

Well, that's irritating. I guess I see the reason for it though.

I'm still pissed about losing all my gear because I didn't feel like aggro'ing all the zombies in the town. -.-

You just have to learn how to low run though town and if you aggro how to loss them on walls and door ways. Moving slow just makes you an easy kill for other players.

I was low running though cherno and only got shot when I stopped of 2 sec to try and open a gate.

Just get some ***** and crouch run around a town and see what aggros and what does not. The zombies have to be looking at you to see you. pay attention to your sound and vision markers.

So are we getting together a group on this server? Or are we all playing solo?

I have played only 2 hours this week. You can roll around on the server or find another but remember if you find a car or tent they are server site unlike your character.

I would look on dayz forums for people looking for more.

I highly recommend running around cherno and electro with a axe and hand gun learning zombie aggro and killing everyone you see. Don't worry about getting good gear as you will die a few times but it's the best way to learn the game and have some fun from the start rather then sneaking around for hours, getting a ak then dieing to a bug or aggroing a zombie from 100m away and not knowing why.

Ran around the training for a few minutes... man the pre-setup controls are not intuitive to just simply start going around.

I'll give it a few more trys though.

Cool story bro time.

I died last night and decided to log in at work and get a spawn near where I stashed my bike.

First spawn was near south air field so I ran to the military tent camp, found an akm mag and no guns. Ran over to the hangers and still nothing. Get the ACT and go stairs and see someone with a drm and revolver. Freak out and run down the stair because I don't want to lose a spawn 10k from my bike. I stop 1/2 way down and go back up and look at him again. He is spinning in place!!!! Bugged, lagged, afk, no clue. Run past him there is an ak on the ground, pick it up, it's an akm, reload it with the clip I found and pop him in his spinning face.

Start looting him, cool alice pack, drm, revolver, 5 drm mags. Get the bag open and there is an m4 halo and 5 clips, JACK POT. Look at the tools he had, sweet map, O ---- GPS!!!. Uber score of the week.

Zombie runs up as he heard the shot, hits me once and knocks me out. I bleed down to 5k blood before I was back up. Ran out the ACT and ----- logged off in a bush. Will get on when I get home and resume the quest find a cow to kill and eat.
