Turbo heat issue, aluminum timing belt cover?
Has anyone seen a dress-up timing belt shield/cover? I figure, if I can't fine one already made, I'll have to try to find a used timing belt cover, and I'll machine an aluminum cover.

As you can obviously see, I'm having some heat issues. I'd love to ceramic coat the manifold, and wrap everything, but that's pretty pricey, and being unemployed and a full time student, it's a little out of my budget too. I have both a lathe and a mill, not to mention access to CNC lathes and mills at school.
Any ideas?

I've never seen aluminum covers. Then again I've never seen an exhaust manifold in front of them.
I'm with the brain, take it off and/or add a heat shield to the front two bolts.

Not to call him cheap or poor, but when he thought he blew up his 5spd transmission, he was worried about the sub $100 junk yard replacement price, I doubt he's going to sink double that into a product that may or may not fix his issue.
OP, bolt a piece of angle iron onto those two front VC bolts, and drop a sheet of aluminum straight down.

Hrmm... that's a good idea. Might work at least for the moment. I wouldn't need a steel bracket--I have a bead roller, and it should be able to fold aluminum up to 1/8 or so thick. I'll have to see if I can get something done this weekend.
