Default BOV and IAT??

So I have been trying to plan out my turbo build for my '93

I am going to go with a mspnp for fuel and spark management.

I was planning on running the flyin miata silicone intercooler piping and was wondering if I should weld the bung for the IAT to the same place where I would have the BOV VTA next to the throttle body?

Also would it matter if the bov is put before the iat?

Best location to ward off heatsoaked ait sensor is the ic cold side end tank.
Bov valve after ait doesn't matter since you should set up your bov to be closed at idle anyways

Ok, so I would actually weld the iat bung to the intercooler right where it meets the coldside piping?

Either that or (if your endtank is thick enough) just drill a hole and tap it.

Awesome, exactly what I was trying to figure out.

I was thinking about welding it in the same metal pipe where the bov would be on the Flyin Miata cold side pipe.

Although I think that being able to put it at the end of the intercooler would make for a cleaner install.

Do you think there would be any heatsoak from the difference in installing it at the intercooler or on the charge pipe next to the throttle body?

18psi answered that question already in post #2. It wasn't clearly stated as the end tank will heatsoak significantly less than right before the throttle body but it was heavily implied. There are also many threads on this exact same thing if you use the "search" feature.

The FM pipe should already have an IAT bung. It should be on the backside facing away from the radiator.
