Default NB Miata 2000 Won't start, no spark fire (requesting help)

I am trying to help another noob over on Miataforumz. Please help me to help him.

Miata 2000 Won't start, no spark fire
Hi. I had tried everything, from changing the entire fuses ( including B5B4 18-811 relay) from the hood fuse box, I had changed the one under the driver side (fuel relay (B5B4 18-821), changed as well the coil, the CAM sensor and the Crankshaft sensor, and still with no spark. Would some one help me, please.

Thanks

Check the timing belt.

No seriously, that's what happened to me on my last engine.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was that. Does he have a CEL test lamp when he puts it on start? That would be a good place to start. Assuming he does my next guess would be timing belt I guess?

On the nb's you'd still get spark with a broken belt. Crank sensor and tone wheel on dampener.

Anymore info on mods?

He said it is stock, but he's in Puerto Rico so...

He said there is no check engine light when attempting to crank it. Does that help anyone?
