I'm by no means a pro, I have 2 seasons of AutoX Experience driving my "DSP" Mazdaspeed3 back in Alaska's Sports Car Club Series (Not affiliated with SCCA but uses the SCCA rules). Changing to RWD is a huge challenge for me and I'm also still uncomfortable with my seating setup in my Miata. After watching the video countless times, I could have carried a little more speed. But it's hard to carry speed when the course is filled with gravel, seemed more like RallyX to me, but oh well. Had fun regardless, but I'll skip the AutoX's and go to the Sandia track days...lol

 

That guy on the starting line looked kinda scary.

Perhaps all you guys could pitch in and get a street sweeper in there.

 

I completely agree that the surface is horrible. I also agree with skipping them and staying with Sandia lol. Who all went up there with you?

 

No lie the dude was all bald on top and up front. Had super long hair on the back of his head. Like a bald version of a mullet.

Yea I don't wanna talk down there venue or how its being ran...but it is terrible.
There was Bob in his EvoX, Brakebill in his STi, some kid in his Fiero with Ferrari body kit, and RJ in his Miata but he didn't run, just watched. There were about 7 or 8 miatas out there.

 

Sounds cliche, but there was a few spots I think you could have turned in earlier. Easier said than done though, especially with the camera outside the car! looked fun, nice catch at 1:04.

Do the track days, you will love it. You won't want to go back to Ax other than for your mazdaspeed account.
