Turbo 1.6l in rx7 fc??
I have a 92 turbo miata that got rammed into from behind, but the front end is fine. My question is if i bought a cheap fc shell would i be able to put my engine in the rx7 without spending to much money? Dont 13b's go into a miata without to much hassle? so wouldn't the other way also be true?
92 miata drivetrain is not worth ****
not a single drivetrain component in that car is valuable
my advice? part it out and sell it.
$100 for the diff, $100 for the tranny, $500 for the motor
/done

1.6 VLSD diffs - spec miata guys buy them because they are a consumable item. autox guys who blew up their diff buy them
5spd tranny is a 5spd tranny.... I sold like 4 for $100 each
92 motor is long nose so that poor bastard who sheared his crank will pay a bit for it. Ok maybe $400

1 of those, at least the full race car is a FB rx7.
OP: this is an EXCELLENT idea. Motor bolts right in with literally no modifications and even bolts up to the stock transmission! Get a MSPNP for a 1.6 car and it will plug right in! Even a turbo kit for the 1.6 will work with the FC chassis and bolt right up to the stock exhaust. Mazda basically made these 2 cars 100% interchangeable.

yeah, i did the swap, its in my thread here. It's been expensive for me but someone found a stock swap already done in a junkyard so it can't be that hard.
(plus I know a guy who sells adapter plates so you can use the stock FC TII driveline)
