The Steam AND Origin keys are SEPARATE unlinked keys.

Whatever games I didnt put into steam and origin instead (like crysis 2, mirror's edge, and whatnot) I gave to my wife's Steam account and they worked.

Same for her origin account.


Not only that, the money goes to good causes.
