Default Why my F1 clutch wouldn't work

Looks like the hub of the 6 puck clutch disk was too large allowing for contact between the disk and pressure plate. Some stock replacement parts for comparison.

Two clutch jobs in 24hrs sucks. Measure first guys :(

What your plan now? Will you have it cut down and rebalanced?

Nope used the light weight and excellent quality F1 flywheel and a Orielys clutch. Will return 6 puck to ebay vendor.

Sorry to hear about your experience, I've had great luck with my cheap eBay F1 6 puck clutch I put in about 6 years ago. For the $150 I paid, I certainly can't complain

Braineack and I did 2 clutch jobs in like a 8 hour span one Saturday because of shitty clutches. This is exactly why I will always recommend a FM, ACT, or 949 clutches and nothing else. The extra work required with something goes wrong, is not worth the money savings over getting a good clutch.

Did the same in 10 hours the other day, and threw in a suspension swap between clutch car #2 and a third party. Not something I enjoyed.

My F1 has been good, I believe I even have the one pictured, although I have a strong suspicion that my younger idiotic self put in an unsprung hub.

Immma tell Martin you're taking all the credit

Not to detract any of the hard work you did....but there were multiple people on that project....even one old man with a bad back :(

They mentioned using multiple people, and I said "did the same". Which includes using multiple people, yes.

Still not an enjoyable Saturday except for the keg.

Aww you can both stop yer bitching, the epic clutch/suspension swapallooza was fun as much as you want to complain. But I agree with whats already been posted, my FM clutch went in easily with no hassle, seems like its worth the money to spend more $ to have less headache. Not to mention every time I drove Curly's car the F1 clutch was awful in every way except for the fact that it holds power.

Pish posh the F1 fly is excellent quality. Plus I like testing cheap bullshit to see if it works.
