WTB: Roll Bar - Any brand
Well, I'm prepping my rusty beater '90 to be a rallycross car. So, in the interest of some semblance of safety, I'm looking for a rollbar to go under my hardtop.
Looks like new ones are in the $400-$500 range depending on options, which is more than the car is worth.
I don't care what brand, and don't care if the paint is chipped - in fact, I prefer that it would be kinda beat up for the purpose of cheapness. Obviously, I don't want a gay and useless style bar - it needs to have some actual safety related purpose.
Who's got one lying around?
Shipping is to Michigan (48184 - Detroit 'burbs).
P.S. - next race is Oct. 12- Holy crap - time to get back in the garage!

My one and only rallycross in a miata was an absolute blast. I'd love to have a beater to do this in. My two cents: make sure you have good wipers and your windshield washer bottle is working and filled to the brim. That was our only issue. Keep it up!
I'd take autopower off your list though. I know it'll pass tech, but I have my reservations as to whether or not it'd keep my head attached.

Nice Pic.
I did three rallycross events in a different beater miata two years ago. The regular rallycross car has been a supercharged 2.0L 1993 Civic. Fast, but really unreliable. Three events ago, the civic broke as usual, so I borrowed a friends 1998 Geo Metro 4 door. Completely stock, and felt like it was falling apart, but it was ****'n fast and super easy to drive! The event was at a dirt roundy-round oval track, and there was so much grip, people were laying down black rubber tracks on the dirt. Grippy enough that the Metro started having brake fade. In any case, I was faster in the metro than the two turbo Miata's at the event! WTF?
P.S. - Anyone have a rollbar to sell?
I don't want to be like this dude:

Its a double diagonal one
https://www.miataturbo.net/miata-par...oll-bar-74975/
The add says $450, but I've gone down due to my ignorance of roll bars.

Well, due to the fact that shipping is so freaking expensive on a used bar, I broke down and ordered a brand new M1 Hard Core Hard top Single Diagonal bar. Should be here next week.
