Goddamm laws keep being drafted in secret because the peons don't have a right to know:

The problem is these international "treaties" have become a work around for enforcing laws that would not make it through congress.

Except that they still have to make it through congress to become laws? See: ACTA, PIPA, SOPA, etc.

I'm not saying I agree with what they are doing, far from it. I'm just pointing out that (I assume) nobody protested that the Treaty of Versaille was negotiated in secret. That's kinda the point of negotiations, if you make your negotiating position public, you will be a **** negotiator.

But they are still an attempt to circumvent our checks and balances. Once signed by the President, they go to the Senate. They vote on it and a 2/3's is needed to approve it.
