When I connect my usb and open the software it doesent connect on any of the com ports can anyone help

 

What cable are you using.

 

Had same problem software said would work with XP sp3 and others but i eventually found it would only connect when i used a laptop with XP sp2 dont ask me why but i tried 2 other xp sp3 base units and a win 7 laptop and another laptop with xp sp3 only the one with XP sp2 worked i was pulling my hair out trying to get to talk to the unit via usb port
