Wiseco Piston compatibility with VVT
Hi !
I'm re-building up a bit of frankenstein Turbo motor, and will be looking to put in some .040 over (84mm) Wiseco pistions. the Block is from a 94, and the head is a VVT head. The Wiseco man wasn't able to tell me if my valve pockets would be OK or not with this setup, so I thought I'd see if anybody has experience with this sort of setup...
Thanks !

If it means anything to you, I'm using Supertech pistons with +1mm oversized valves in a 94 block and VVT head.
That being said, browsing through vendor listings, it looks like pistons for 1.8L are compatible for 94-05
See fab9tuning.com for instance

With stock VVT cam you will most probably have a lot of clearance even at full advance.
My setup however needs to be blocked at 42 degrees advance or the valves will hit, but why would you by that stupid
.
Measuring/testing is knowing...

Cool, thanks - so do you have a modified VVT cam with higher lift or something ?
