After years of tuning and tweaking my WRX, it has since been sold and replaced with a little miata.
So now I've decided to catalog all of my misfortune and money spending.

Lets start out with the basics.
It's a stock 1999 Silver miata, car has 355,000 miles, and up until a week ago they were going up.
![](https://www.miataturbo.net/attachments/build-threads-57/144042-008miatas-long-slow-build-srsly-slow-tho-h9awqa2.jpg?dateline=1436418877)
Last week the car decided that the radiator wasn't giving it enough love, splitting the entire upper part of the endtank off of the radiator.
Needless to say I can skip the radiator flush I was planning.

So I yanked it out, and made room for all the activities.
I ordered a CXRacing radiator and it should be here in a day or two.

So this is where i'm at meow.

Ok I got the Radiator in and I have to admit, it's not too shabby.
Packaging was good and all welds seemed decent and thorough.

I tossed it in really quick to check clearances beings as this unit is quite a bit larger than the OE unit. After a quick check it seems that the front edge of the radiator rubs against the mounting bolts for the AC heat exchanger. (Sorry crappy picture doesn't really show it well).

Afterwards I bent the tabs back a little to offer a bit more room, I massaged the radiator in and tightened all the hoses up. I noticed the upper hose sits against the fan on the passenger side.

So I filled it up with coolant (40/60) started the motor and let it warm up.
Checked for any pin holes or leaks, all was good, so I took it for a quick spin.
Also cleaned up some of the engine bay while I was in there.

So with things being crazy busy lately I haven't beend able to really dive into the car like I was hoping.
I did find time to test out an idea I had for fender stripes on the car.

Again it was an idea, so I didn't want it to be permanent, therefore I used some black plasti dip, and some red vinyl pinstriping.
I thought it came out great, and my wife even gave me a compliment on it!
Let me know what you guys think.

Also bear in mind the suspension is stock (for now).
