Default TD04 Turbo

I have an old TD04 turbo from my sons WRX , is there a kit that will work with that turbo, FM or Bell Engineering? I don't want to get into custom manifolds on my first build. I have an 1.6 motor.

I was just contradicting you for fun. I have no useful info to add to this discussion.

Nope. But if you want a ghetto build something there's plenty of youtube videos on the subject. Basically you're going to have to get a custom manifold made matching the flange to the td04 and probably will end up reclocking the turbo.

With SR20 t25's being $80-150 and working perfectly with the BEGI/FM offerings, I just don't see why you would use some random *** cheap turbo.

Well it makes for a nice paper weight. Unless a random *** custom manifold falls into my lap...

I have the same turbo sitting in my garage. I decided against it due to the simplicity of sticking with a turbo that has more commonly found parts. Even if I had put something together for the manifold and dp/outlet, I figured if anything broke it would be that much more of a headache.

I use that trubo on my 1.6.

100% custom fitment required, although sturovo might get you half way there. Works well though.

Because the more forward position of the manifold outlet is better. In other words, even if one uses the SR20 t25, your manifold positions the turbo better than the centered outlet ones. No cutting of sheet metal needed, which was one of my personal objectives.

(Of course, I also like the TD04L-13T)
