coil on plugs
So with the valve cover bolted down, I decided to stick the toyota cops down the plug holes, just to see how it looks. The circular base of the cops hits the inside of the valve cover, and I don't feel them snapping down on the tops of the spark plugs. Is this a common problem? Don't worry about it? Trim the base of the cop so it can go down another 1/4 inch?
I like that hornetball, already made ready to go. I spent about an hour making my own bracket, after which I figured I made it too wide. I'm sure I can cut it down for it to fit, but this is a much cleaner solution.
My issue is I don't think the spring on the inside is contacting the spark plug. It does not feel like it's snapping down like the stock wires do. I think removing the rubber spacer and cutting flats, like deezums said, will help. I just wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong.

Yeah, the Toyota COPS don't "snap." That's why they have the bolt hole -- they're meant to be fastened down.
Look at it this way, the TSE bracket is half the cost of the new HG you didn't need.
