Great video. Good to know what correct alignment looks like.

Below is my personal experience and does not apply to all turbos or wastegates. It's unlikely you will need to do this.

I ran a turbosmart dual port wastegate and needed to adjust the bracket. Andrew has not run into this issue with all the ones he did but I ran into an issue where the actuator was angled incorrectly and I could never get correct positioning no matter what the clocking. So my advice is to first follow the instructions in Andrews videos. And if it still isn't perfect "adjust" it until it acts like the one in the video.

I still find it weird that some guys have to bend them. I pulled that turbo out of a sealed box this morning for this customer build. You can see how good the alignment is right out of the box, no bending required

Yeah I have no idea why. But I put it in every position possible and nothing. Its hard to explain the movement on the internet. But it was just like the shaft was pointing the wrong direction.

Thanks for the video. Mine wasn't like that out of the box, but thankfully I didn't have to bend the bracket. There was just enough clearence in the two bolt holes that adjusting the wastegate on the bracket was able to get me the easy movement shown in the video.
