Default Konig Wide Open 15x8 13lb or TR C3M 15x9 15.8lb?

Have 2 sets of wheels, but can only keep one. I know that light and wide would be best (like 6UL, Kong Dial-In, Helix, Advanti S2 or RPF01), but it's not a choice at this time.

What i can choose from:
Konig Wide Open 15x8 13lb + 205 Bridgestone RE-71R
TR C3M 15x9 15.8lb + BF Goodrich 245 Rival S

Suggestions?

Ohh my god 2.8lbs per wheel heavier...... Who would run such a thing? How much for the c3m's shipped to 26201?

It would help to know how you plan to use the car.... But the 245 rival S 1.5 on 9's will be substantially faster than the re71. I personally don't believe that weight difference would ever show up in instrumented testing.

well, the wheel+tire may add up to be a bit more substantial.

Track+auto-x. I plan on getting stock 15 or 16 wheels later for daily and to/from track. Car is not a dedicated lightweight track build, but still was wondering if bigger is in fact better in this case. NB2 with front 1.25 RB hollow and Koni sports + GC kit.

Here's an interesting article with some good data for both rival S vs. rival S 1.5 vs. re71 and also an analysis of a 245 on 9 vs. 10" wheel, although that was on a VR1.

https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/ar...ut-class-2016/

GRM also did a test of heavy vs. light wheels and didn't find that much of an affect. I can't find the article at the moment.

They don't make the RE-71R in 225/15 sizes.

That's right, of course you are correct. I remember that tire size difference was more pronounced which is what sparked the though of weight vs size.

It is 205 - updated original post.

Don’t worry about wheel weight, just pick the one you like better

I've got the TR C3Ms and I'm sick of them. I'd keep the Konigs.

How so? You don't like the looks, weight, they are cracking, or...?

Dammit, I spoke before I should have. I've got the TR C1Ms, not the 3's, didn't realize the difference (tells you how much I care about them).
No cracking and they've held up really well over the past 7(?) years, but I'm tired of the way they look and want something more aggressive looking.

Width over weight always.
