Just a PSA, because I haven't heard much chatter about it. BFGoodrich now sells the Rival S in 245/40R15 for those interested. The part number is 84280 and you can buy from Jackson motorsports, Phil's tire and a couple others. If you call Jackson and mention you race the price is $165/ea plus $10 shipping in the lower 48. Their number is 800-722-3234. It's best to call because their website isn't up to date.

Decent price if true. Right now a set of 4 off TireRack is $669.29 after rebate ( which works out to about 167.25 ) but you gotta deal with the MIR.
Shipping is more on TireRack too.

I'm convinced those are the fastest 200tw tire you can put on a miata. If they ever made the RE71 in a decently wide footprint they would be.....but they don't.

 

Well it does appear I've been living under a rock, consider this a PSA about discount pricing for racers at Jackson
They have similar discounts on other BFG and Michelin products, and they can order much more than they have listed on the website. I got my last set of regular Rivals (not the S) from them since Tire Rack doesn't sell them anymore.
