In my search for a seat that would allow me under the bar in my miata, I found this contender: SPARCO QRT-R . This thing seems to tick all the right boxes: made to fit larger / taller drivers, made for small cockpits, and FIA approved.
Does anyone have one in their garage / car (same thing imho), and can share first person experience with this guy?
Sparco hasn't updated the seat sizing chart for 2018 it appears but i was able to find the dimensions on the sparco official website. It looks to be similar in sizing to the Sprint L so dimensions should be fine. I would be more concerned how you fit yourself in the seat and if its comfortable. Do you know of a local sparco retailer in the bay?

Thanks man, I'll see if there is a sparco dealership around me. I couldnt find dimensions of the seat before either.

I have not, just starting to explore options: Kirkey / ultrashield, cheaper fiberglass options before going the baller carbon carbon.
bigger tillets maybe an option at some point, I'll try to find threads of those seats on here.
I recieved the seat yesterday. It fits me perfect, one of the best seats I've sat in. Now here is the problem, it doesn't fit the pci mount I have and the trans tunnel needs to be massaged. I'm trying to make it fit my pci mount but the mount isn't tall enough in the rear to catch. Any suggestions on mounts?
The trans tunnel always needs to be massaged to fit just about any seat bracket, including the PCI mount. There's at least one person who has installed this seat in an NC with a PCI seat bracket, so it sounds like you may not have things lined up right.
Jpreston here makes some good mounts. Thanks for the info! How tall are you btw? I'm 34w 6ft 210 all torso. I am planning to drop the seat pan plus a seat like this..
Yes I knew the tunnel has to be massaged to fit pci mount. Besides that, I'll take a picture later on what I mean that rear wont catch the mount. The seat bottom isn't flat, its lower on the butt area and sits on the mount.
Ohhh you have the one-piece version. We don't sell that version because it is really limited in what seats it works with, I practically forgot it existed. Sorry to say it but that doesn't look like it's going to work. You want the adjustable version: https://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazd...t/61-1914.html
Seat positioning has way more flexibility and most importantly, as you can see in the pics the rear holes are a lot higher.
An additional note - when we got the first set of the PCI brackets for eval one of our notes to PCI was that cross bar between the two rear holes limited seat placement, so PCI redesigned the brackets with that cross bar removed. All of the NA/NB PCI brackets we sell do not have that cross bar there so the rear bottom point of the seat, which is typically the lowest point, can practically touch the floor (pic on our site is provided by PCI, doesn't show the latest version sans cross bar).
I'm going to order this mount from Goodwin right now. Since you say the picture is different and it doesn't have the crossbar. I wasted money on this mount but maybe I'll be able to sell it.
