Default Not another catch can thread!

I promise! So long story short I have excessive crank case pressure I need to vent. With the help of a friendly forum member and the threads I've read I will be opening up my breather side of the valve cover, removing PCV and opening that up too. Routing both to a vented breather tank. Got that figured out.

So here's my question: I have a MSM with the factory air/oil separator (on strut) in place which has that infamous drain tube down to the block...or pan...cant remember now. Anyway, I have a block off plate for it so I can remove it completely but considering it's a tube that goes down to where all that pressure originates wouldnt it kinda help as well with depressurizing the block? Or would the smart thing to do be block it off and let the larger valve cover vents do all the work?

Thanks in advance! And much thanks to the friendly forum member lol, you know who you are

The fitting on your pan connects to a tube that goes into the sump and is below the oil level so not going to work as a vent.

Thank you so much for that picture! I ended up blocking it off and so far all is good. Added the breather tank with the modified valve cover as well so now it's just wait and see time.
