Just posted this on Miata.net but wanted to get more input.

Hi Guys,
Just wanting to get started with my new setup, I'm just running the base map with minor changes for larger injectors.

I've run the car NA sans the blower belt to check things over and it's fine.

Now i'm getting ready to put the belt on but I want to set the timing to be SUPER safe. The car will have water/meth being injected progressively with an independent controller but I still want to be very conservative to start.

I am mainly trying to get the AFR's to be safe and correct without any concerns about detention and move from there. I also just want to check over the car to make sure everything works after rebuilding it.

The car will eventually be professionally tuned but I wanted to get it at least started.

Can anyone post a photo of a SUPER safe timing setup? I'm new to this so any help would be great.

Thanks
Andre'

Echo.... ;)

Thanks for all the great feedback guys, really appreciate it ;)

Just to update, Pat and I have been working together to get a decent map going. I finally bit the bullet and ordered a set of EV14's from Track Speed today and some 'Boost Juice' from Snow Performance/Summit which is basically 50/50 water/meth.

I've installed the 115mm pulley for around 12-13psi already and ran it last night with the old 550cc injectors, Rich and Safe.

I'm still trying to pin down a good AFR with water/meth that is somewhat conservative, same goes for timing. Running 93 here btw.

My goal is a very responsive fun snappy little setup with some safety built in. Ultimate power isn't the goal, response and fun is.
