Default looking at a 92 with a supercharger kit. help?

dont get my hopes up. looks pretty ratty. and old.

I didnt see a name plate on the outlet.
its a 1.6. I am assuming a jackson racing kit.. no belt on the SC now

throttle body is mounted behind the SC.

it has an FMU . So i assume its a powercard? or even just an FMU on it.

looks complete minus the belt. but the car wont start.

any idea what you think a rough rough 92 with a SC kit on it is worth?

im thinking about 1000-1500$.

looks like it has spent a decade under a tree at this point.

Any other known old school kits besides jackson racing? for a 1.6?
is there a way to quickly ID if it is a mp45 or 62 ?

Does the SC pulley turn by hand?

1.6 = MP45 about 100% sure

Doesn’t start

Rough rough meaning RUST?

You have too many zeros after the 1.

The pulley turned free by hand.

rough meaning florida sun burnt car. with half *** flat black paint job and a junky top.
car is in florida. they dont really rust here.
they just burn.

I am assuming a entire JRSC kit is worth 500-1000 ? alone.

I'd say a complete kit in good condition would be worth a bit more than that. That car's "kit", though, would likely not be in good condition based on the condition of the car. If you want to buy it I would expect a rebuild to be safe.

Thanks for the info. yeah a good check out and fluid change.
are these systems even still serviced/rebuilt?

I looked around and can basically only find belts and top hats output connectors .

Theres someone out there that does M45 full rebuilds, I just can't remember his name. In all honesty if you're dead set on an M45 I have one. But I'd say consider all of your options before making a decision.

honestly just ran across it while looking for parts.
guy has 2 miatas. 1 super charged. 1 complete one from under a tree.
4-5 engines and other spares..
he wants 1500-2K for all of it..

I am looking to make a buck. and looking for 150+HP...

I haven't been on a dyno with mine, but I have seen dyno charts with similar builds between 140-160 HP. Use your best judgement on the parts and stuff. Once you go higher in the tq and hp range you start breaking things like 1.6 diffs and possibly 5 speeds. Don't forget engine management either.

The JR kits are pretty fun. If you can get it cheap enough they make a lot of sense. You could always sell it later down the road for a turbo

Thats exactly what I plan on doing, I've had a lot of fun with mine but it has me wanting more. I'm excited for MKturbo in the future
