Here is my dyno. Before anyone starts, yes its a dynojet and therefor reads high.
I have a 62.5mm pulley, using a nonadjustable power card, 190LPH walburo, set at about 8 degrees base timing. Jackson racing catback, and a few other things I probably have forgotten. This is all on a 1.8L in a 97. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1390161002 This is my base line, I am in the process of building my megasquirt right now and sourcing a meth kit. Hoping I will to gain some base timing on the bottom end to help out the TQ curve in the future. Thinking about using a mazda speed miata inter-cooler since it doesn't have much volume. But I know the efficiency of the inter cooler isn't the best. I also got some old supra 320cc injectors for it, since I don't like how close I probably am to maxing out the stock injectors. |
those numbers arent bad at all considering how limited the M45 is.

Nice numbers. I think you're right about the injectors though, you can see the AFRs start climbing ever-so-slowly over 6000rpms. Can't wait to see what she does with proper engine management. Any plans for more boost in the future?

As for more boost, I am getting close to maxing out the blower (without spinning it till it breaks). I recently bought an m62 off an old Buick, and one day it might find its way on the car. For now though, I have the car taken apart for a new paint job, then I need bushings, then the stand alone. So it will be a long time before I change blowers. (I did just install a big radiator though, so now I can drive it and not worry about over heating). |
