Default Need help/suggestions :)

Hello everyone. First I want to give you some background of my Miata and the issue I am having. 1997 1.8l w/M45 JRSC kit, w/ powercard pro ECU Plugin.

Initially, I wanted to rid my check engine code for the Intake Air Temperature Sensor. So, I replaced the MAF. Now I am having more codes, as well as my Miata idle hunting. The idle hunting fluctuates between 950-1500rpm, and sometimes higher. It drives fine while in gear. But at Idle it will stick at 1500rpm for a couple of seconds, then drop down to normal at 950rpm. I suspect it is a vacuum leak, but cannot find the leak. The codes thrown are as follows: P0170, P0110, P0505. I have been dealing with these codes for a couple of weeks now and can not find a solution.

My question to the Miata gods is..... Can I just tune these codes out with a megasquirt, and everything will be fine? OR will this cause the problem to be covered up but still remaining and become a bigger issue later in the future?

Let me know what you think. Thank you for all information and replies.

You can't "tune" anything with a powercard.

Stock error codes are of no concern to you once you add a standalone so I wouldn't be too worried about diagnosing them if you plan to go that way. Just get a megasquirt 3 of some sort and a wideband controller and move on with your life.
