Jean did have some blower issues, but unfortunately, I don't remember how much boost he was running... I do know it was a pretty good amount... and good dyno numbers. Also I recall the kit went through various flavours.... with the upgraded manifold (R4 intake) and I believe a hydra at one point.....

I'd have to see what I could find... to confirm....

I've been tracking mine without any issues, however, I've also still running low boost at this point.... (so no where near joe's requested HP numbers)....

I will say that the header blanket does make a difference to how the blower does though.... also making sure the by-pass valve is working. Anything I can see to help keep the heat down in the blower would probably increase life.....

Header blankets are for hotsides. We'll have none of that.

And vacuum bypass valves work both ways. Well, the butterfly section does, anyway. Opens up some interesting possabilities if you think about it.

Yes, there is. They needlessly occupy valuable space that could be put to better use.

That it can be used to bypass the supercharger under conditions other than idle and light cruise.

Like having the valve actuated by a motor that can be set for "valet" or "limp home" mode for no boost, no boost until the oil is up to temperature, or (my favorite) running a huge pulley ratio so the blower gets to max boost at low rpm, but can be electronically limited by the motor by opening the bypass? :brain:
