Its been done before, A guy by the name Jean in Canada tracked his BRP kit and posted that no blower will survive sustained use unless its cooled. He cooled his with WI pre-blower. I believe him because I toasted mine after a year of track racing. I pulled my kit after realizing that I would have to replace it yearly due to the heat of track racing. Beware that Magnusson voids blower warranty if anything is injected into it.
I'd have to see what I could find... to confirm.... I've been tracking mine without any issues, however, I've also still running low boost at this point.... (so no where near joe's requested HP numbers).... I will say that the header blanket does make a difference to how the blower does though.... also making sure the by-pass valve is working. Anything I can see to help keep the heat down in the blower would probably increase life..... Dave, |

And vacuum bypass valves work both ways. Well, the butterfly section does, anyway. Opens up some interesting possabilities if you think about it. |

Header blankets are for hotsides. We'll have none of that.

Yes, there is. They needlessly occupy valuable space that could be put to better use.
That it can be used to bypass the supercharger under conditions other than idle and light cruise. Sure sounds like a "twin" charge. <G> Yeah, you can.... I think that's what was happening with Jay's car with the cold-fusion setup. <G> By-pass is also good for fuel encomny. <G> Dave, |
