13b miata
hey guys im new to the forum, just wanted to introduce my self, im mike and i have a 13bt miata. fully built, but still rocking the stock drivetrain with a 1.8 lsd. just wondering if any of you guys had done a t2 drivetrain swap. oh and i have a n/a tranny for clarance issues... help anyone?

start by making yourself an intro thread in the meet and greet section!
and post piktars or your a liar! |
I need PICS! lol

Car sounds awesome.
TII tranny should bolt right up. We all want one, but to mate to a B6/BP it requires an expensive, custom adapter plate. As far as the diff, I may be talking out of my ass, but I thought the carrier bolted right up. No idea on axles, and I'm sure the driveshaft has to be shortened. Someone recently did it here. |
mightymouse did it!

yea thanx guys theres some videos on youtube if ud like to take a look. just type in danburyrace miata. its still in the process of getting the proper tune... and ive been doing some research on the drivetrain and i think i can mate the rear spindles and hubs from the 4 lub rx7. it will just have a diffrent lug pattern, no biggy. ill check out the link c what i find. thanx again

You lazy fuck, here.
|
Simply badass...
|
haha thanx

Do want did you cut the subframe and use a Fb front cover and mount?
|
When I saw the title I was anticipating the "So I want a rotary Miata, it should be easy right guys" thread...congrats on doing the swap. Car looks nice.
|
yea mostly everything is cusom made or fabricated to fit. the fire wall is cut and the cradle is custom made... im not sure what type of mounts they are as they where built in with the subframe by a pro.

Got to drive this a time or two a couple of seasons ago. 3-rotor with a 2-speed powerglide. The tires on the back of this thing are ridiculous!
|
Ive seen that video before ... Total madness :bigtu:
|
Yeah, he missed all of last season because we was changing the rear end. Not as massive tires, but now you don't have to worry about running over cones with the rear tires when you missed it with the front by a good 4 or 5 inches. lol
