Default 3.63 Ring & Pinion Possibly NLA

Our 4 month old "JDM" parts order is finally in its final stages of being delivered to us in Atlanta. We were reconcilling our pick list with our order as only "most of" (language from our Japan contact) our order had shipped.

One of the items that we did ger our full order of was 3.636 r&p gear sets. Now luckily we did receive *exactly* the number of sets as we had orders, but we did not get any extras at all. Not even 1.

I can't know for sure, since this part is not in the US parts catalog, but I am suspecting that the r&p will be NLA (no longer available), and we just bought all that were left. Or perhaps they will indeed strike more, and I'm just perpetuating a rumor. I really don't know at this point. But I find it odd that our order was short by nearly 20 sets.

If anybody from the order drops out, can't pay, etc... I call dibs on their set.

Sorry Sam, they were all pre-paid. We tried to get extras, but that didn't happen.

I need the name and address of your least favorite customer. I'm pretty sure 2 small solid chunks of metal would probably survive a medium air-strike... just gotta be sure I'm there the instant the dust falls and out before anybody knows what happened. HAHA, just kidding... but seriously, mistakes can happen.

Well Ben, if anybody calls and wants a refund or something crazy happens and you've got a spare... I'll take it.

OMG Keep your plane away from my house! You can't have my 3.308! <insert evil MUHHAHAA>

Yeah of course I'll let you know. Since Bill W might be getting his Richmond 3.308 set off the ground, it is possible that one of the super big power guys will want to go that route instead.

On second thought, I can supply you with GPS coordinates for my house. Just let me know when you're coming so I can get the asian "brides" out of the basement first.

LOL, if these are indeed NLA, I'd hold on to it for a year and double my investment.

Oh, I'm holding onto it. I've got a perfect spot for it at the end of my drive shaft.

Ben, that's awesome news! Are you still considering the cryo treatment?

Man, those dolphins must be exhausted! Oh, and I might be changing my address before Sam zeros in on my location

3.636 shipment is in. The ring and pinions are somewhere inside the 3 big crates that were unloaded off the tractor trailer a few moments ago. We've begun reconciling the inventory, and we'll prepare the 3.636s to go out ASAP.

Next step is cryo treatment for those who want it, otherwise they'll be shipping over the next few days.

For those who did not get in, I'm honesty still not sure if they're still available.

Out of morbid curiosity, what were these going for?

I've got a 3.6 set with speedo gear, never used, and I'm kinda looking at the 3.3 setup... Except for the fact that they are so damned spendy.

Abe? Knock knock. Potential buyer of your set here! Mazmart's were $320 if I remember right.

3,9? Homo!

I am either 4.1 or 4.3, but never bothered figuring out which.

That was Mazmart's old pricing. A complete carrier with the 3.636 installed was ~$900 when they first started selling them. In February I was told $1200 but they were out of stock. They finally got an extra one in a couple of weeks ago and they told me $1500. Screw that, I can almost get one of the v8 conversion rear ends for that kind of money.

I'm giving a lot of thought to selling my torsen and putting the gears in a new one, selling the old one for .... whatever I can get for it. But till I get a lead on a 6 speed that won't set me back a grand after shipping.... I guess it'll just sit there in the box and rot
