6 spd value?
I inherited a used 6 spd trans. The tag says it needs 4th and reverse synchros.
It did not include the shifter, clutch fork or any other accessories. Rough idea of the value? I see good driving ones for $500 and up. For those interested, I am in Fort Myers, FL. I am not really interested in shipping it, but if the offer is right I will. thanks for the insight. -jason |
Scrap value. Going inside a transmission is a bit of a black science and takes a ton of labor. It is probably much cheaper to just buy a working 6 speed and shifter then what it would cost to be repaired.

In my opinion a transmission that needs a rebuild is pretty much worthless.
As a rebuild will cost more than just getting a good used one. |
Scrap.

$100 to someone who needs parts for a rebuild. I'd take if off your hand if you were local, but I have taken apart a few 6 speeds just to get one good one. Some transmission shops might pay you for the core value.

Thanks everyone for the input. I just needed to know where to price it.
I left Pos cats for you all ;) -jason |
Great race spare for someone. Most of my race boxes have had crunchy synchros. If you were local I'd give you $150 for it.

Savington - I wish I was closer, but at the same time I am glad that I am not that close to Cali..... lol
While cleaning up the shop yesterday, I found a 6 spd trans with only 21k on it. It was pulled for a spec miata build. The case didn't even have an oil stain on it. I will have to get that one on craigslist soon. |

Do you have the shifter? That will change the price and the NB1 and NB2 shifters are slightly different.
thanks for the advice! |
