tried to find anything better but nothing showed up. apparently this is the only short throw 6 speed shifter on the market. anyone knows if it will work? i will be adding an extender to this thing and using better shift **** obviously but i just want shifter to be closer to steering wheel and would need throws to be shorter so i dont hit radio surround with my hand when i shift into 1st, 3rd, and 5th.

edit: do 5 speed shifters work with 6 speed tranny? i was always under the impression that they dont but i recall someone mentioning here on forum that they do.

edit #2: https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/t39074/ - apparently 5 speed shifter wont really work in 6 speed as i thought originally

i currently have the 5 speed shifter from my stock transmission in my 2000 6 speed. it is different from a stock 6 speed in that the central position is slightly off to the left, the side to side distance is shorter and the fore aft throw is slightly shorter and requires more effort.
