Updates?

I'm gonna be buying a set of Hard S Shocks my self and combining with NB top hats front, ISC 1.5" in the rear and getting fcm bump stops.

No custom valving for me, though :/

No updates yet - not enough time to work on the car right now. ISC top hats are here and are waiting to be installed.

Around $1,400 with all the shipping charges and other misc. crap. No idea what the ride height is at right now - I set it by eye for the time being. I will set proper ride height when I find time to go corner balance the car.

750 mile update:

Car handles like a motherfuxer! I am yet to break rear tires loose on canyons (stock power, open diff, 15x7's w/ 205/50/15 Falken 912's).

Car feels much better over bumps then it did initially. It's stiff but not extremely harsh.

One thing to note - ISC top hats still need to be installed, car bottoms out and produces a loud noise in the rear when driven over large pot holes or bumps. Hopefully it's not coil bind.

2 things: How long are the rear springs? Are they preloaded when installed/assembled? And, do you have the isolators on top of the spring?

http://www.ground-control-store.com/...tion.php/II=43

I am asking because I ran 700/325 SM springs 6"/7" and now I have 450/275 7"/8" and they do not coil-bind. When I lift the car there is about 1/2" gap between the top of the unloaded spring and the isolator. I would imagine that without the isolator/locator, that 3/4" gap could allow the spring to ---- and make noises when unloaded. Since I run a rear ARB they would unseat less than w/o one. W/o a rear ARB when you transition side to side, the inside spring should unseat. If you have longer springs, they would not unseat but they may coil-bind if pre-loaded at set ride-height.

I'm running 7" springs front and rear. Neither one is preloaded. There are aluminum spring isolators but I'm getting rid of them.
