Brake caliper adaptor drawing
Hello people!
First post here 🤘🏻
Well, I got a pair of Subaru Impreza WRX front calipers laying around that I want to use for my Miata NB and therefor I need a set of adaptors.
Do anyone have a drawing, CAD or hand drawn?
Was thinking about making my own when I'm work and have access to the right machines.
Greetings from Sweden!

First up - welcome. - lots of good info here, but best not to come asking stupid questions, ever, let alone your first post. Negcat for you, yes I am a hard marker, and I am in a bad mood for Reasons, get used to it.
You know matching calipers and master cylinders is a rather involved business? And the suitability of your random pair of calipers is unknowable without a lot more information? And without knowing what Subie calipers you have, finding an adaptor, a drawing, or any information at all is going to be needle in a haystack territory. Feel free to pursue your idea, but I doubt you are going to get much applause here, at least based on that post.
I know a while back there was a crowd selling kits, in the UK IIRC, I think it used Subie calipers and VW hats. Never got any traction here but there is probably some info on it which might help you progress, Much better/easier options around if an upgrade was needed. Search is your friend. Go browse some of the braking threads, do some searches, you will learn a lot and see the wisdom of asking questions from a more informed starting point.

Actually yes. My mother told me that it is better to shut up and be thought a fool, than open your mouth and prove it. I am happy for you to call me an arsehole, because that is a badge of honour when somebody makes that statement when called out for asking unanswerable questions in their very first post. You should count yourself lucky it was me that stumbled on your post first...
Now go back and read your first post, then read ALL of my reply. You have received advice to assist you in your endeavors, You have not been spoon fed answers, because first, we don't do that - we are not your personal information slaves. Second, your question lacks the specifics which would be required for an answer, should one be available.

Hi roger,
I’ll give you a better answer…
the wrx & sti calipers are some of the worst calipers to land on a car. I had a sti, ever hear of pad slap? It’s not confidence inspiring when you’re coming to a 90 deg corner at 120+ and your first pedal push only engages the pads but doesn’t slow the car down. The Miata calipers are great and until you have a s*load of power, it’s the last thing you touch on a Miata. Why get rid of a CHEAP, RELIABLE, caliper to put on a POS caliper that’s not reliable, pads cost a multiple of Miata pads. Short answer, you don’t.
my car is supercharged, makes 177 at the wheels. I run dot 4 fluid, stainless lines, dc060 pads. The end. Next time I touch my brakes would be to add brake ducts just in case I go nuts and want to do a 2 hour stint on track.
spend your time and money on the suspension or if you want to go faster start saving (by selling those Subaru calipers) for a FI project..
good luck!
